opalLMS is committed to providing a platform that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or technology.
1. Our commitment
We design, build, and test opalLMS with accessibility in mind. We believe the platform should work for screen-reader users, keyboard-only users, and users who rely on assistive technologies — and for learners who don't identify as disabled but benefit from thoughtful UX.
2. Conformance status
We aim for conformance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. The platform is audited regularly against WCAG criteria; known gaps are tracked and prioritised in our engineering backlog.
3. Supported assistive technologies
We actively test with recent versions of JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver on Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. The mobile apps support iOS VoiceOver and Android TalkBack.
4. Known limitations
Some third-party embedded content (for example, older learner-uploaded SCORM packages) may not meet our accessibility standards. We provide tooling to flag and replace such content. If you find an accessibility issue, please let us know.
5. Feedback
We welcome feedback on accessibility. Email accessibility@opallms.com with the page, the issue, and the assistive technology you were using. We aim to acknowledge within 2 business days.
6. Date of last review
This statement was last reviewed in April 2026. Next scheduled review: October 2026.
