This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the activities that are prohibited on opalLMS. Violations may result in warning, suspension, or termination of your account.
1. Prohibited content
You may not use opalLMS to host or distribute content that is illegal, infringes intellectual-property rights, depicts child sexual abuse, promotes terrorism, incites violence against protected groups, or contains malware.
2. Prohibited conduct
You may not (a) interfere with or disrupt the platform's operation; (b) circumvent our rate limits or authentication; (c) access other customers' data without authorisation; (d) reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code; (e) resell or sublicense the service except under an approved partner agreement.
3. Payment abuse
You may not use the service to process payments for illegal goods or services, engage in fraudulent chargebacks, or disguise the nature of a transaction. Payments flow through our payment processor's terms in addition to ours.
4. Unsolicited communications
You may only email learners who have an existing relationship with you (enrolled, purchased, opted in). Bulk unsolicited mail sent through opalLMS is prohibited and may be reported under the CAN-SPAM Act, GDPR Article 7, or equivalent law.
5. Intellectual property / DMCA
If you believe content on opalLMS infringes your copyright, email a DMCA notice to copyright@opallms.com with the information required under 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3). We respond within a reasonable time and will remove or disable content that is infringing.
6. Responsible disclosure
If you discover a security vulnerability, report it to security@opallms.com. We appreciate good-faith research and will not pursue legal action against researchers who follow the responsible-disclosure process in that email.
7. Reporting abuse
To report content or conduct that violates this AUP, email abuse@opallms.com with the relevant URL and a short description.
8. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and take action ranging from content takedown to account suspension or termination, depending on severity. We may share information with law enforcement where legally required.
